In the following you will see an example how you can work with templates in the PARTdataManager.
Call the template in PARTproject via context menu command Open with PARTdataManager.
In contrast to the configuration, the assembly template (file format *.sbl/tpl) is automatically assembled, completely or at least partly.
In the Assembly, the Start element and the pendent assembly parts will immediately appear (see Fig. „Templates with complete self-assembly“).
The selection list area remains empty.
Templates with complete self-assembling are able to configure themselves 100% alone.
There are no longer any free (green) connection points. All connection points are displayed in black lettering.
Single elements can be removed, or (if available) replaced by alternative characteristics
After a row change, the template reassembles itself completely.
Templates with partial self-assembling are assembled with a certain basic structure. Some Connection points remain open (green) and may be occupied by pre-generated elements. This template variant shows a mix between configuration and full template. It may be changed and/or reduced.
Fixed template: It assembles itself 100% alone, however - in contrast to other template types - it can neither be changed nor reduced.
